VisitBritain, the national tourism board, seeks a full time seasoned Partnerships Manager to join our Los Angeles office.  This is a great opportunity to be part of an international organization, where you can engage and influence internal and external stakeholders at every level with a client-oriented approach.  Using an in-depth knowledge and expertise you will develop and manage major commercial and brand partnerships in the region, extending our reach and impact across markets and customer segments, converting aspirations to booking.

Requirements


Bachelors in Communications or Marketing desirable, with broad understanding & knowledge of customer marketing to international customer segments.  Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience required. Excellent written and spoken English essential, Spanish desirable. Excellent proficiency across all Microsoft Office applications. Ability to travel within the region and to the UK as needed.

Job Requirements:


• Proven experience in partnership working with major international brands, including within and beyond the travel industry.  


• Excellent knowledge of American and Canadian market dynamics & culture crucial. Experience of the Brazilian market desirable.


•  Awareness of key consumer trends in each market required.


•  Comfortable with data and using an analytical approach to decision-making.  


•  Strong project management skills.


 


Objectives of the Role


 1)      Plan, develop & pitch for major partnerships (30%)


Working closely with the Partnerships Director:
•  Research and assist with the development of an optimal partnership portfolio for the region, ensure that this is reviewed annually in line with business objectives.


•  On a per partner basis, assist with the creation of bespoke pitch materials, dedicated research and meeting preparation. Provide input through knowledge of market (s) and consumer landscape and demonstrate understanding of the potential partner (s) and their goals.


 


2)            Delivery of partnership programs (45%)


•  Working closely with the Partnerships Director and global colleagues project managed deliver a programme of activity on behalf of partner (s), in conjunction with external partners where relevant.


•  Produce a report with performance, recommendations and learnings for each partnership, on a quarterly basis, for review by the Partnerships Director.


•  Key account manage partner (s) and ensure free flow of communications ongoing as directed by the Partnerships Director.


•  Provide regular partnership updates to the regional team and colleagues globally.  


 


3)            Financial governance (10%)


•  Ensure that partnerships activity is delivered on time and on budget.


•  Ensure all financial & procurement procedures are followed and carefully managed.


 


4)            Global Working (10%)


                Work as part of a global partnerships team to develop & deliver the global partnerships strategy, including:


•  Build close relationships with colleagues in the region and globally to exchange best practice, innovation, creativity and ensure continuous improvement.


•  Maintain a culture of teamwork, achievement, accountability and outcome focus.


•  Work with a collaborative team spirit focused on service delivery to both internal and external clients. 


•  Provide regular reports and analysis on competitor activity.


 


5)            Research and insights (5%)


•  Build an intimate knowledge of the marketplace to support regional and global decisions and investments. Ensure that key market insights are communicated to region and London teams.


 

Qualifications

Job Requirements:
