Under the direction of the Chief Marketing Officer, the best candidate will have a proven successful history of managing detailed marketing programs in concert with marketing partners (or clients). Applicants must have exceptional written and communication skills, ability to multitask a number of partners at once, and amazing organizational skills. Duties include:

  • Proven ability to work with existing and future museum partners, which will require both a political savvy and customer service sense of interaction. This position will own these relationships, ensuring contractual deliverables, productivity, creative ideas to grow the partnership, and an above-board level of attention to detail and organization.

  • Coordination of the production of a wide range of marketing communications requiring the understanding of the processes behind print versus emails, and other digital correspondence, promotion and on-site activations.

  • Support for marketing & membership events and exhibitions as required (some evenings and weekend events work will be required).

  • Meeting and liaising with partners to discuss and identify their participation including events, advertising, and other interactions.

  • Presenting, alongside colleagues, the campaign ideas and budget to the partner.

  • Liaising with, and acting as the link between, the partner and their advertising agency by maintaining regular contact with both, ensuring that communication flows effectively.

  • Presenting creative work to partners for approval or modification.

  • Handling budgets, managing campaign costs and invoicing partner.

  • Report on partner activities, quantifiable touch points, and upcoming partner activations.

  • As a key component of the marketing department, initiate partner marketing activities and events, owning the detailed action items, and seeing such projects through to 100% successful completion.

  • Ability to craft presentations that quickly and intelligently offer the museum value proposition. Experience with software and program tools useful in this discipline is a plus.

  • Updating and maintaining the marketing department's documentation and databases.


Desired Skills and Experience:

  • BA in marketing or communications (not essential but an advantage) plus no less than 3 years marketing, partnerships and/or client project management experience.

  • Personable, presentable, articulate and eloquent. 
    Superior project management skills.

  • Strong copywriting skills and the ability to communicate complex ideas.

  • Sound understanding of marketing principles.

  • Experience working with websites and CMS management.

  • Computer proficient with Microsoft Office.

  • CRM experience a plus (Salesforce, Razors edge etc.).
