GGP has an immediate need for a National Strategic Partnership Representative, with a focus on Retailer Accounts, based at the corporate office in Chicago, IL.

Position Summary: 


The primary goal of the position is to maintain existing and establish new relationships with our retailer partners at the corporate level.   This person will identify the appropriate point of contacts at each on-property retailer responsible for activating their brand outside their retail locations. Specifically this person will be asked to focus on paid media budgets / OOH advertising as well as, any in-mall activations (events, sponsorships, sampling, etc) in an effort to increase brand awareness and ultimately drive traffic and sales for our retail partners.  This position will require some travel and is based at the Corporate office in Chicago.


Responsibilities include the following:


Core Functions and responsibilities:



  • Responsible for managing and growing existing retailer accounts as well as prospecting new business opportunities which will include responding to inbound requests and proactively target new retailers.

  • Complete weekly sales reports tied to revenue, prospects, leads and travel schedule.

  • Craft custom proposals for in-mall media and experiential activations.

  • Develop long-term, strategic relationships with clients and facilitate introductions to various internal departments for additional marketing opportunities (email, SMS, social, etc).

  • Collaborate with national and local sales team members who manage existing retailer relationships via media buying agencies and at the property level, respectively.

  • Visit and conduct regular meetings with retailers via telephone conference and / or in-person at their corporate offices; ability to lead meetings with senior retail executives.  



Additional Responsibilities:



  • Manage visual standards and individual needs tied to revenue goals for portfolio of 120 shopping centers.

  • Work collaboratively with multiple disciplines within the organization, including but not limited to; asset management, leasing, social media and creative departments.

  • Create retailer strategy and contact tracking portal for managing in-person meetings, grand openings, holiday initiatives, etc.


 

Qualifications

Ideal Candidates will possess the following qualifications:



  • Previous sales experience and knowledge in one or more of the following preferred: Out-of-Home, Digital OOH, Sponsorship, Experiential.

  • Strong understanding of the retailer industry.  Existing relationships with multiple retailers a plus. 

  • Proficient in SalesForce.com, Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint.

  • Minimum 5 years proven professional experience.

    • Strong ability to initiate sales contacts and possess a high level of negotiation skills.

    • High performer, team player and excellent communication skills.

    • Independent self-starter with strong organizational, planning and time management skills.

  • Together:  Collaborate not only with the Strategic Partnerships team, but other disciplines within the organization - while the greater good of the company remains top priority.

  • Own It: This is an excellent opportunity for a strategic marketer with a sales background, looking to contribute to an existing high performing team.  While the position will have some existing leads, the National Strategic Partnership Rep, Retailer Accounts - will be expected to grow the business and take our retailer relationships on Business Development side to the next level.
